Academia and research institutions
Our directors and associates have close working relationships with universities throughout the UK and internationally. Key partners include the Scottish Institute of Policing Research (SIPR); the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy at George Mason University, Virginia; the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance (SICSA); the Royal College of Defence Studies; University of Edinburgh Business School; and the School of Law at the University of Edinburgh.
These working relationships allow us to benchmark our responses to client needs with the latest research and thinking. Additionally we have been successful at fostering partnerships involving public, private and academic bodies, particularly linking technology to improvements in service delivery.
We understand the importance, and the privilege, of education in securing peace and growth. In 2015 we founded the Droman Scholarship Trust (UK registered charity number 1159906).
The Trust provides scholarships for postgraduate study at one of the UK’s Russell Group universities, focusing on studies in international relations, peace studies, international development management and comparable fields. Beneficiaries must be students from countries directly affected by conflict during the preceding 30 years, have secured a place at a qualifying university, and meet all UK visa requirements. Our first student achieved an MSc with merit at the London School of Economics at the end of 2015.
