Reform & Modernisation Scoping Study 2016

In 2016, Droman were invited to visit the Republic of Cyprus by the Minister of Justice and Public Order, and the Chief of Police. The purpose of the visits was to conduct an assessment of the current structures and working practices of the Cyprus Police and to prepare a report with recommendations for change.

This report underpinned subsequent discussions between the government and police on how best to progress the process of police reform in Cyprus.

The review team were invited to visit the Republic of Cyprus by the Minister of Justice and Public Order and the Chief of Police between Saturday 2 April and Saturday 9 April 2016.

The purpose of thevisit was to conduct an initial assessment of the current structures and working practices of the Cyprus Police in order to prepare a report with recommendations for a programme of change to better fit the operational and economic contexts in which the police service has to operate.
